Celtic Copper jewelry is all copper - all the time - one piece at a time.
Welcome to our studio.
Shannon is a modern American jewelry designer with deep water ties to the Celtic creativity of her Nordic ancestry. She's loved brilliant colors, gemstones, and jewels since she could put a bead on a string. Her kinship with the Fae goes back even farther.
Shannon has the skills of an old world craftsman, some remembered, some learned again. She also has Elves. Together they create heirloom quality copper jewelry that shines like no other.
Shannon began her formal study of the art and science of metallurgy and jewelry arts at age fifteen with a master craftsman named Patrick Maher. He showed her the significance of personal expression and the importance of quality. The most important lesson Shannon learned from her teacher was that beauty and function are of equal and interchangeable value.
When she was a girl Shannon visited famous Seattle Pike Place Market with her family on the holidays. The atmosphere of produce vendors, fresh fish and flowers alongside artists plying their craft gave Shannon a special feeling of resonance that lit her heart. She grew up to help found the Snohomish Farmer’s Market in her hometown of Snohomish, Washington.
She officially opened her first jewelry arts studio in 1991 under the name Shannon Svensson Studio. In 2000 Shannon renamed her studio Celtic Copper and brought her company online with one of the best selections of chain styles and solid copper jewelry on the web.
The Celtic Copper website remains an interactive jewelry design studio where the customer selects the finishing touches that define the look and feel. With the custom variations we offer, customers can express their unique style. Shannon and the helpful elves of Celtic Copper feel good about that. In fact, individual style is the reason we do what we do.
