About Us
Welcome to our Flagship Store!
Celtic Copper is a small jewelry studio run by Shannon and her Elves in Snohomish, Washington. Our jewelry is available exclusively here at this store front and at our Etsy shop. We specialize in solid copper jewelry and supplies made in the USA.
All of our jewelry chains and pendant charms are made of solid 100% copper. We offer multiple sizes and finishing options that allow our customers to express their unique style. Most of our designs can be ordered with solid copper findings and fasteners as well as copper-plated brass options. We also offer custom sized jewelry chains in a wide range of sizes from extra-small to extra-large.
The Celtic Copper website is our flagship store where the customer gets to define the look and feel of their jewelry. Custom size variations and finishing options allow each shopper to express their individual style with our virtual jewelry design studio. Shannon and the helpful elves of Celtic Copper feel good about that. In fact, individual style is the reason we do what we do.

Meet the makers - Shannon and the Elves
Shannon Svensson is a modern American jewelry designer with Nordic and Celtic roots. She studied metal smithing with a master craftsman named Patrick Maher who lived life with a twinkle in his eye. He believed in the little people of Ireland and taught Shannon the value of individual expression.
Shannon opened her first jewelry arts studio as a silversmith in 1991. In 2000 Shannon shifted her focus to copper. She renamed her studio to Celtic Copper and brought her company online with one of the best selections of chain styles and solid copper jewelry on the web. The business is called Celtic Copper in honor of her family heritage.
Do you believe in elves and fairies like the Celts? At Celtic Copper we do. Shannon carries on the traditions of old world craftsmanship and connection with the little people. The influence of the Elves has become an integral part of Celtic Copper. Shannon feels that harboring elves in the studio brings inspiration and success in her creative efforts.
True, the Elves have been known to cause minor mischief and mayhem from time to time but are over all quite good house mates. Some customers even tell us they have received extra little gifts tucked in their packages placed there by the Elves. Don’t be surprised if your message is answered by an elf when you email us.

Here are the perfect fit formulas for great fitting jewelry.
Remember that Celtic Copper jewelry sizes describe the whole length of the jewelry piece, including the clasp.
- ANKLET SIZE =
Ankle Size + 1-Inch
- BRACELET SIZE =
Wrist Size + 1-Inch
- NECKLACE SIZE =
Neck Size + 2-Inches Per Length
Men's Necklaces
Selecting the best necklace size is a more in depth matter of measurement plus personal style. Start with the size of the neck then add 2-inches for every 1-inch of desired drape in the front.
A 24-inch chain hangs approximately 4-inches below the shoulder line on a 16-inch neck. Thick chains have a wide girth that takes up more room and needs a little extra length to fit properly.
Women's Necklaces
What are you wearing right now? The neckline of your garment is one of the most critical elements of fashion. Celtic Copper offers standard sizes and custom options in almost every department, including copper necklaces and pendant chains.
The 18-inch and 20-inch pendant chain necklace lengths are by far the most popular; perfect for classic crewneck T-shirts, sweaters, and button up casual wear.
Many of our pendant necklaces come with a 17-19-inch adjustable chain. They have the advantage of staying close to heart when you lean over and rarely dangle anywhere they are not supposed to.
Going Longer… If you want to be able to see and admire your own pretty pendant, chain or string of pearls go with the longer “over-the-head” length known as opera length. The “opera length” necklace is 26- 36 inches long and offers many attractive options. Opera length necklaces are great paired with V-necks, scoop necks, turtle necks, strapless, low-cut blouses, shirts, and camisoles.
Bracelet Sizes
Adjust the basic bracelet size formula to optimize fit and comfort.
For a snugger fit, add approximately half an inch for fine chains, and three-quarters to an inch for a heavy chain. For a more relaxed fit, add an inch or more.
Thicker bracelets require a little more length to get around the circumference of the wrist than their thinner bracelets. For heavy bracelets more than 10mm wide the fit best is with an inch or more added to the measurement of your wrist. Better a little loose than too tight.
Anklet Sizes
Adjustability: A person's ankles, even more so than a person's wrists can fluctuate in size making your ankle chain feel tight.
Our Anklets have an extender chain that gives you an extra inch of adjustability. We also offer stretchable beaded anklets made with elastic cord.
Test the fit to be sure it works. Once you have chosen your anklet size - test it. Fasten a string or chain around your ankle and flex your foot back and forth or walk up and down a few stairs. If these actions stress or pull the string, make a new, larger test-size and try again, until you find the best fit.
