Is He Impossible to Shop For? Not Anymore, the Men's Jewelry Gift Guide from Celtic Copper is here to Help!

Hello again, Dear Readers!

Our last post was dedicated towards finding her something she'll really love-- but what if you're shopping for HIM? Don't worry, we've got you covered!

Now, for men, we know they need a little help getting started in the jewelry world, but if you've been wearing jewelry forever, you already know how to do all that. What you need to know is, what's out there? What do men like? What will they wear? So, we thought we'd put together a little guide of our best sellers. Here we go!

1: Curb Chains!

A big, chunky chain might feel heavy to the ladies, but men seem to like something with a little more heft. We carry many sizes of hefty chain, starting at 10mm across and going all the way up to 16mm. Consider what might feel too big or impractical and size down from there.

2: Figaro Chain

If the guy in your life has finer bones than the heavy-duty type, you might consider a Figaro chain. Their distinctive pattern of alternating long and short links gives them a sleek and versatile look that can be worn with casual or formal outfits. It's also nice and lightweight, so it can be an everyday wearer.

3: Crosses

The cross pendant is a nice choice for men of faith. A cross pendant is a symbol of spiritual strength and quiet devotion even for secular people. We offer solid copper cross pendants and stud earrings for men and women. The smaller lighter designs are unisex. The larger, heavier versions are meant just for men. The Celtic knot cross has a rich contrasting design and is available on a masculine 5mm curb chain necklace.

4: Stone & Copper

If the man on your list isn't the type to appreciate a chain, he may like an understated stone bracelet instead. Our Blackest Night Agate Stretch Bracelet is a great choice for a guy that's connected to nature or loves music. It makes a great standalone style choice or a great addition to a set. He can wear it with his watch or with his other chains.

How to Size on the Sly

If he wears an earring you know it but what about his bracelet size? How long does he wear his chain?  Sneaking a peek into a lady's jewelry box to get an idea of jewelry sizes is one thing but how do you do that for men? Their jewelry collection is rarely kept in a velvet lined box. What's a sly partner and friend to do?

A reliable way to size up mens's jewelry is to take a look at their wardrobe. Ask him his T-shirt size and go from there. This will give you a good idea of what size necklace and bracelet to order. If he wears a XXL or bigger you may need to order a custom size.

The type of neckline they wear is a useful clue to the jewelry style that suits them best. What’s in his wardrobe - classic crew, button-up, button-down, V-neck? The only thing that doesn’t work is when the necklace awkwardly meets the neckline.

A chunky chain can easily feel too tight at the regular length because of the size. If you are ordering one of our heavier chains (13-16mm), it's best to add a bit more length than you might expect for a nice amount of drape.

Now that you know all our best kept gift giving secrets, you're ready to get out there and find him something he'll love to wear! As always, thank you so much for reading. It's a pleasure to help you find him the perfect gift!

Sincerely

Nat Fay and the Elves of Celtic Copper
