How To Choose Something She'll Really Love 🎁💝 Gift Giving Guide for Her
Hello Dear Readers!
Do you have a copper fiend in your life? Someone you love, who loves copper? This holiday season is the perfect chance to show her you know her-- with a sweet piece of copper jewelry that you KNOW she'll wear whenever she gets a chance.
But how do you choose something like that? Jewelry is very personal, and the wrong choice can have the opposite effect-- instead of showing how well you know her, she may end up feeling like you don't know her at all. So today, I thought we'd dive into the types of things to look out for, the different types of jewelry wearers, and how to choose the right size once you know what you're getting. Ladies, if you think he might need a little help this season, send this to him! Let's begin!
Rule #1: Be Observant
First things first, take a little time to notice the types of jewelry she already has-- and what she wears most often. If possible, sneak a peek into her jewelry box on the sly-- does she have a lot of bracelets? Rings? Earrings? This is a surefire way to find out the types of things she likes without tipping her off to your intentions.
Once you have an idea of what she already owns, spend a week observing which pieces she wears the most. Jewelry is very personal. For example, you might find that even if she has a lot of bracelets, she never wears them. Pay attention to the types of clothes she wears-- if you've never seen her in a turtleneck, she might not like something hanging around her neck. Maybe she owns lots of earrings, but if she only ever wears studs or small hoops, a big dangly earring isn't going to be a hit.
Gift giving, especially gift giving WELL, is difficult. However, this type of information is readily available to those who watch & listen! You got this!
Rule #2: Double Check Her Jewelry Habits
Jewelry is so personal because we take it around with us everywhere we go. A good piece of jewelry fits into our wardrobe, is comfortable to wear, and makes us feel marvelously adorned. So, notice what type of jewelry wearer she is. Does she like to stack lots of pieces together? Or does she prefer dainty pieces that can be worn on their own? Is she an earrings-only type of gal? Or does she put on a pair of earrings, a bracelet, and a necklace for everyday?
If she's a stacker, she might like a small piece with lots of detail that will look nice with her other pieces. If she likes to wear a bracelet, a necklace, and some earrings, a matching set is sure to hit. If she has more than one earring hole on both lobes, an earring set or two will give her lots of styling options. If she likes comfort, an elastic ring or bracelet could be a good option.
Try to choose something that will fit into her wardrobe-- if she wears a lot of cream, grey, or brown, a purple stone probably isn't the best choice. Similarly, if you've never seen her wear a neutral color in your life, she'll probably like something with a pop of bright color. If you get it right, it might become her new favorite!
Rule #3: Choosing The Right Size
Okay, so you've followed all my advice (😉) and you've chosen the piece that seems exactly right. But now the website asks-- what size do you want to order? This can be tricky because the wrong size can render the gift unwearable.
This is an in-depth topic, so check out our Jewelry Sizing Guide.
It can be hard to determine what size will be the best without tipping her off. Instead of measuring her in her sleep or guessing wildly, measure the jewelry she already has. This will give you a good indication of what should work!
Congratulations, you're now armed with all the information you need to knock it out of the park this holiday season.
Thanks for reading and Good Luck!
