The Solid Copper 13x8 mm Shepherd Hook Clasp is ideal for tying-off lightweight bead strands and finishing fine copper chains. The loops of the clasp and jump ring have been soldered closed, making this shepherd hook clasp a great choice for beaded copper jewelry projects.
When working with this particular batch of clasps, please note that there is a heavy copper-plating over the solid copper core. This kind of heavy electroplating is known as copper-cladding. The process gives a high shine to the metal in a different way than buffing them. The metal coating can peel when worked with tools. If this happens to your copper project remove the loose coating. Then, rub vigorously with a polishing cloth to bring out the luster of the bare metal.
